Welcome to Michigan State University. As a new MSU student, you are joining a community united by the common interest that we all share as scholars. We are united by our hunger to learn, to discover new knowledge, and to engage in the lively exchange of ideas that characterizes life on a college campus. Most importantly, we are connected by our shared commitment to make a difference in the world - to advance knowledge and transform lives.

We at Michigan State are justifiably proud of the educational opportunities we are able to offer our students. From core courses to special offerings, we have worked diligently over the years to provide relevant, dynamic, and cutting-edge programs and experiences. University life presents the members of its community with exciting opportunities to learn and expand their views of the world - to grow as individuals, as scholars, and as global citizens.

With these opportunities come responsibilities. Among those is the responsibility to engage with the wide range of resources available in support of your success. Work to maximize the opportunities available to you while at MSU. Establish networks that connect you with resources to assist you in facing challenges. Consider possibilities you might have not have even thought of in the past. Ask questions. Be informed. Most importantly, be engaged.
